About the Role:

We are seeking a driven and strategic Sales and Business Development Specialist to own and grow our Upwork channel. You will be the frontline of our business, responsible for hunting new client opportunities, crafting winning proposals, and converting prospects into long-term partners. Your success will directly fuel the company’s growth, and you will have a clear path for professional and financial advancement in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Project Sourcing: Proactively identify, qualify, and shortlist high-value projects on Upwork that align perfectly with our service offerings (Web Development, Digital Marketing, Creative Writing).
  • Proposal Mastery: Research client needs and write compelling, personalized, and persuasive proposals that effectively communicate our unique value and win against competition.
  • Client Relationship Building: Engage potential clients through professional communication to build rapport, understand pain points, negotiate terms, and secure contracts.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Own the entire sales cycle on Upwork—from initial outreach and proposal submission to closing the deal and seamlessly handing off to our delivery team.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct quick research on clients, industries, and competitors to tailor strategies and increase conversion rates.
  • Profile & Brand Management: Collaborate with marketing to optimize our company Upwork profile, enhance credibility, and generate inbound leads.
  • Performance Analysis: Track, analyze, and report on key metrics (win rate, proposal performance, client feedback) to continuously refine our bidding and sales strategies.

What We’re Looking For (Essential Requirements):

  • Proven track record in a similar role: Upwork Bidder, Freelance Sales, Business Development, or Client Acquisition Specialist with verifiable success in winning projects.
  • Exceptional English Communication: Flawless, persuasive, and professional writing skills for proposals and client interactions.
  • Natural Sales Acumen: Ability to sell services, handle objections, and convince clients by articulating value propositions clearly.
  • Deep Platform Expertise: Strong understanding of the Upwork platform, its algorithms, and best practices for visibility and success.
  • Target-Driven Mindset: Ability to thrive under pressure, meet daily/weekly targets, and maintain a high activity level.
  • Self-Starter: Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a hunger for growth.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Basic knowledge or experience in Web Development, Digital Marketing, or Creative Writing.
  • Understanding of project management or sales pipeline principles.
  • Experience using CRM tools.
